A partial truckload is best if your shipping goods exceed the capacity of the LTL truckload but do not occupy the space of a full truckload. A partial truckload is a cost-effective shipping solution as you are required to pay only for the space occupied for the shipping of your goods, unlike in the case of a Full truckload, where you are required to pay for the entire trailer.

No Additional Charge

This feature of partial truckload erases the requirement of additional charges such as reclasses and minimum density fees.

Minimum Stopping Points

The partial truckload carriers have minimum stopping points. Hence, the shipment remains untouched. There is a very less chance of damage to goods.

A partial truckload saves half of the shipment expense you would incur to hire a full truckload even when the goods are not enough to move through a dedicated trailer.

Right time to choose Partial Truckload

  • When your shipment exceeds LTL capacity and is less than the capacity of Full Truckload.
  • When your shipment ranges between 6 to 18 pallets
  • When your shipment weighs between 8,000 to 27,5000 pounds
  • When your shipment has a greater weight and space-occupying capacity but does not use the entire Full Truckload.
